The project was launched in 2013 as an EU project with the purpose to design a web application for presenting small farms from Istria. When the project was completed, the activities aimed at promotion and direct sales of agricultural products by small farms continued.

The event is a combination of gastronomy and active vacation, the first of its kind in Croatia. It consists of an 11 km long hike through vineyards and olive groves in the area of Buje and Brtonigla. Every 2 kilometres the participants are greeted by Istrian winemakers and other local producers with gastronomic delicacies and fine wines.

This is a continuation of the activities aimed at diversifying private accommodation in the County of Istria, which began with the Istra Bike&Bed project and now continues with the Eco Domus programme. The programme encourages private accommodation providers to adapt and offer their facilities and services in a responsible and sustainable manner.
