IN THE COLOURS OF TRADITION .. THRESHING FESTIVAL

The event has been conceived as a fresh and different tourist itinerary through Brtonigla, an interesting journey into the past, dedicated to the traditions and customs of Istria and the Municipality of Brtonigla. In addition to presenting old crafts and tools that were once used, visitors can learn about woodworking, making fabric, sewing slippers etc. from local craftsmen, as well as about traditional ways of preparing food, pasta, bread, they can taste the old flavours... and pair them with excellent wines from western Istria.
But that’s not all… that very day a century-old threshing machine will be put in operation to the delight of all the visitors of Brtonigla. Apart from the colours of tradition, the event will include the offer of autochthonous products and souvenirs.
