Atelier Lakota ****
Description
Atelier Lakota – a house of memories, nature and sustainable living
Atelier Lakota is not just a holiday home – it is a story of family, heritage and love for a place where generations have left their traces. Located in Brtonigla, in the heart of north-western Istria, the house was created with the intention of preserving family heritage and sharing the spirit of traditional living through a contemporary and sustainable tourism concept.
The renovation of the house was guided by respect for original materials, local architecture and the natural environment. Stone, wood and natural textures are not only an aesthetic choice, but a conscious decision to reduce environmental impact and preserve the authenticity of the space. Every detail of the house has been carefully considered in order to remain faithful to its story and identity, while providing guests with a feeling of warmth, peace and home. The creation of Atelier Lakota has been shaped by love, personal dedication and deep respect for traditions preserved through generations.
Atelier Lakota promotes the philosophy of slow and responsible tourism. Guests are invited to experience the destination through local products, cooperation with small local producers, time spent in nature and discovering the cultural heritage and traditions of the region. Special attention is given to encouraging year-round stays, active holidays, mindful living within the destination and creating experiences that respect both the local community and the environment.
The house is designed as a meeting point between past and present – a place where guests do not stay merely as tourists, but as temporary guardians of a living story. Atelier Lakota aims to share the message that sustainability is not a trend, but a way of life – a relationship with space, people and the memories that shape us.
