Description

The Pazin City Museum is located in the Pazin Castle and is engaged in the preservation and research of the culture and art of the Pazin area and beyond. It consists of various exhibitions that display archaeological finds from prehistoric times to the early Middle Ages, the history and significance of the Pazin Castle, local artistic activities, and collections of bells from Istrian churches. The museum also preserves the story of the peasant uprisings in the 15th and 16th centuries, as well as the life and work of Bishop Juraj Dobrila. Through temporary and permanent exhibitions, the museum promotes cultural heritage, explores local history, art and archaeology, and actively collects and presents materials that enrich and preserve the identity of Pazin and its surroundings.
