Visit to the Ethnographic Museum of Istria

Description

The Ethnographic Museum of Istria - Museo etnografico dell'Istria (EMI - MEI) is located in the Pazin Castle and is the main ethnographic museum of Istria. EMI carries out its activities by collecting, preserving and researching civilization and cultural goods, preventive and permanent protection of museum materials and documentation, and their direct and indirect presentation through permanent and temporary exhibitions. It combines the collection of material and intangible materials through field trips and interaction with storytellers. The castle houses a permanent exhibition that thematizes Istria through 11 units, and a temporary exhibition about Ranieri Mario Cossaro - ethnographer. Level of reality: between creativity and authenticity of photographs from 1928.
