The Labin National Museum is located in the old town of Labin, inside the Baroque Battiala Palace, Lazzarini, recognizable by its reddish facade with blue windows and impressive size of almost a thousand square meters. The palace was built around 1630, while its facade dates from 1727. It served as the family residence of the Battiala noble family from Labin until the 19th century, when, with the marriage of Margherita Battiala to Lodovico Lazzarini, the palace became the joint property of the Battiala Lazzarini family. The museum provides an overview of Labin's history through a selection of the most important events presented in chronological order, thematic units and interactive points. The museum's main attraction is a 150 m long replica of the mine.
